my god!  you have to do that in orange color.  Can not read it so well.


As far as the tiger, i kept trying to kill them and dropped as much as 1,500 right next to them.  nothing!

A 500lb bomb direct on a tiger would kill it IRL - a near hit (like 50 feet) would not.
Bomb blasts @ tanks in general are ineffective to completly kill it.

I was e-mailing an old vet recently.  He was a Sherman driver.  A couple of days into Normandy his tank shot a Tiger.  His shell bounced of the tiger.  The Tiger returned fire at a M3 and destroyed it but the tiger shell went through the M3 and took out the track on Mr Grays M4 Sherman.  The tiger went on to take out 5 other M4 Sherman's.  They called in a Typhoon to knock it out which the tiffy did.  Mr Gray didn't see the actual attack but said he saw the Tiger afterwards.  He said "It was opened up like one of our tanks."

Sherman (M4) has a fuel tank on each side.  The allies, as many know, called them Ronsons.  After the cigarette lighter manufacturer (One strike and it lights.  slogan).  Jerry called them Tommy cookers.  So when Mr Gray says "like one of ours" he must have meant burnt out.  Once a tank is on fire the on board ammo will seal the deal.

   I remember back when I first started that a tiger was your worst nightmare. Shells would bounce off this thing left and right, and I can remember that it took about 2000lbs of ord to kill one, unless you hit it almost directly with a 1000lb bomb, a 500lb bomb would not do much but track it.

   However, I don't think anything has changed on the tiger, I think people are getting better at fighting against them.
