From what I understand, in its own right, the WWI arena will be a bit of a 'Beta' to test the new damage system for the rest of the planeset. It's still a lasting introduction, though, not a beta in the traditional sense.
There shouldn't be any need for a beta for the WWI arena since all they're doing beside introducing the new damage system is adding 4 new planes, which they do all the time (maybe not 4 but...
)
