Armistice!
« on: March 14, 2011, 05:02:35 PM »
since the change to 20% base ownership for a map win, theres been alot more map wins. good :aok

however Its come to my attention that there have been some serious violations of the ceasefire! many of us have been fighting this war for years, and trying to fight it on the most gentlemanly terms possible in a time of extreme duress. we always assumed that when it was finally over, and surrender terms agreed with the winning country, that usual conventions would apply and the combatants allowed to peacefully disarm. Imagine our horror to find that only minutes after the end of the war we are being shot at by our own AAA batteries! presumably under orders from the victorious side. the horror!

please allow the defeated nations the chance to disarm and demob peacefully, and with honour!

 :salute

ie. as soon as the war is won:
all bases become the property of the winning side,
 all autoguns quit firing,
no damage registered (turning killshooter on for everyone would be realistic, but unworkable),
all landings are succesfull or ditches.

ALL bases to the winning side?

Why not just freeze the map completley, and let people land.

it doesnt really matter what chess piece owns the base if they're all effectively neutral, so it may as well be the winning side :)

I do not think the code can work like that.....

If anything, the easy fix would be after the map is reset, it doesn't reset. (Bases stay where they are) I think that would satisfy your desires as well as any other "problems" with the reset.   :salute
