Crash on start up

 Yesterday I downloaded the new TE for the first time. I started it up, ran just fine, then it crashed.  Realizing that I had to start a new terrain before using the TE, I attempted to start the application again. Now the TE started  crashing every time I opened the application.  I'm running Windows 7, and I have tried to run the TE as an administrator via the compatibility options. I've performed a reinstall of the TE and even cleaned out the settings folder, yet it continues crashing. Could someone please assist me? I've run out of all possible solutions.

You need all/most of those files in the settings folder.

Do not install the TE in the "Program Files" directory in Vista or Win7.

Use C:\Hitech Creations\ah2editor

Once you have it installed in the Hitech directory, it should run okay.

If you have the problem again, then in the Settings directory, open curterr.cfg file with Notepad and delete the terrain name, resave the file.
Reopen the TE.
