I have to fight the cap for 20 mins just to get in with my squad and fly with them (AT PRIME TIME) then around 12 30ish 1am ET, the cap jumps to 400 and everyone is able to go in. By then the fight is dying off and people are in bed or going to bed cause they have to work. i dont have an issue with caps in general. Just the prime time cap.
But as I said, that's the goal. Once the cap is reached, you either wait, or you join the other arena (which is the preferred solution actually).
The point of the caps is to not have the huge squads the old main arenas did that did nothing but take 50 pilots at 1 time and wipe the entire board. This was causing subscribers to leave Aces High so HiTech added the caps. HTC determined that the arenas get full enough for that to potentially happen is during the Americas' prime time zones. Therefore, during the Americas' prime time zones, there is caps on the LW arenas. Saying "you don't have an issue with caps in general" is a bogus statement, as the only time there IS a cap is when you want there to not be one. The only cap "in general" is the one you wish was not there. There are literally over a dozen threads asking for the caps to be removed in the Wishlist and General Discussion, and even a few in which HTC himself has participated as to why the caps are there.
For instance :
Your idea would achieve this goal, but the arena limits have nothing to do with this goal. Unless I miss the point and if all sides are balanced no one can get into the arena after a certain number? If this is what you think, then you would be limiting the arena even more. Because I would write it so that if 300 was the cap only 100 of each could enter.
The arena limit is in place because there simply is a limit of how many people can play in one place and still have good game play. If you idea is ment to increase this number, then it most probably is a hidden vail to just increase the caps and not solve the issue.
So while your idea is not a bad one for achieving country balance, it really does not address the reason the limits are there in the first place.
Another reply, to someone suggesting one LW with a 450 member cap, the other with a 250 cap, non-changing.
As I stated , you completely miss the force of the herd mentality. We already have 3 different choices. Does it do much to spread players out?
What would happen is the 450 cap arena would fill up. And then I would have people would complaining and wanting the cap raised. We would raise the cap as you wish and end up with one big arena. Next I start loosing players because they are not having as much fun. My revenue and player counts go down because people are not having as much fun. I switch back to the system I have now.
And as I stated before, we tried this when we first made the arena splits.
And as a different question, if 1 arena is so wonderful , why is Tuesday night not the busiest night of the week?

Rebel: The arena caps have nothing to do with load management on servers.
All we do on Tuesdays is change the Title of the Orange Arena.
Big numbers are fun once a week, but community issues start hurting when one big arena became the norm.
So you must begin with the assumption that about 300 to 350 makes the best game play in an arena. If you do not believe that, then never mind on the rest of why the balancer is as it is.
What would happen if I just set both arena caps on the Late Wars at 350?
One arena would fill up like now, and a greater imbalance between arenas would exist.

Not trying to rain on your Parade BiPoLaR. Just showing this topic has been done ad nauseum and I highly doubt that it will change, unless you can come up wtih a way/reason/proof that by changing the way it is now would help HTC's bottom line (income).
