I'll agree the new Dr. doesn't appear all that great from his 30 seconds on air BUT....

... the main pull for season 5 will be Moffat as lead writer. The guy that wrote The Empty Child, The Doctor Dances, Blink, Silence In The Library, Forest of the Dead, all the really, really good episodes from the last few seasons.

I'll give Matt Smith a chance, I didn't like David Tennant when he first started either.

And I'm gonna claim to be the biggest Doctor Who nerd on here as I have all series' on DVD going back to Tom Baker's first episode.

I am not sure about the new guy, but I have every single episode of the new Dr Who's and all the episodes containing the Daleks from the oldies.

If Tin is the biggest Dr Who nerd I reckon I could take him on Dalek info.

Freema is a hottie for sure but can't act worth a crap. I liked it best when she died in Season 2.

Georgia Moffet is also a hottie but loses points for having Sandra Dickinson for a mother. That voice is gonna make you homicidal during Sunday Roasts around the in-laws!

Ah yes, Sandra Dickinson - she who played Trillion in the BBC TV version of 'The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy'. Preferred the original radio show myself, which was just pipped at the post as Best Science-Fiction Production Of The Year at the International Sci-Fi Conference by the first 'Superman' movie; Christopher Reeve was cheered by all when he said in his acceptance speech that he wasn't sure he'd won the popular vote.

remember? the TARDIS's security system returned it to the doctor when sally tried to activate it, leaving her, and her friend standing in the middle of the angels.

 the problem here? whelp.....since the tardis went, and the doctor was able to come back to now, and sally gave him the script, all of that episode never really happened. hence the weeping angel behind the store.

 so in rescuing the doctor, and trapping the angels, in reality, she also freed the angels.

She gave the script to the doctor, which allowed him to read it at a later time and put his part of the script into the videos that she then watched.  Remember, that is how he could "talk" to her through the video, because he had a script of everything that was said that the boyfriend wrote down.  Even that part was in the script.  So, actually, giving him the script was what made the whole episode possible, not the other way around.

Don't over-complicate it.  When the TARDIS disappeared, the four angels were all looking at each other.  But they were in the basement where a single bulb was illuminating them, making them see each other.

Bulb burns out, they are back in darkness and free to cover their faces.  Quite simple.

the doctor turned a bit bad in that episode. almost like the power he has finally went to his head.

 chances are good that they'll replay that tonight before they play part 2.....but the master is back, and badder than ever.

I watched both parts last night.  Liked parts of them, disliked others.   

I don't think the new doctor is going to be very good either.  In the 2 minutes he was on at the end, he over-acted every moment of the scene.  Perhaps I'm wrong.... at least I hope.

over-acting is cheesy...and cheesy is part of dr. who.

 as for the new guy......i think he needs a little time to "settle" in.

 kinda like in the beginning of star trek next generation......picard was moving like a puppet with a stick up it's arse for the first few episodes...then he settled in.

It was "earlier" in her personal time line, but later in his.  She had already been through the ordeal, but he hadn't yet.  Some time after receiving the script, in the Doctor's personal time line, he got trapped in 1969.  He then read the script he had been handed into the videos, knowing that in doing so, the events would be placed in motion that would lead to the woman sending the TARDIS back to him many years later.

It really isn't that complicated.
