Hi-Quality Spitfire Mk IX Cockpit sound recordings.
« on: January 03, 2010, 05:15:40 AM »
I found these Hi-quality in cockpit Spitfire Mk IX sound recordings captured by a professional sound engineer.

SPITFIRE MK IX START UP INTERIOR
Spitfire Mk IX (Trainer Variant) Cockpit Recording. Engine Starts & Runs.

SPITFIRE MK IX TAXI & MANOEUVRE INTERIOR
Spitfire Mk IX (Trainer Variant) Cockpit Recording. Taxi Away From Stand & Manoeuvre. Engine Revs, Servos, Undercarriage Rumble.

SPITFIRE MK IX TAKE OFF INTERIOR
Spitfire Mk IX (Trainer Variant) Cockpit Recording. Take Off & Climb To Level Flight.

SPITFIRE MK IX LAND & TAXI INTERIOR
Spitfire Mk IX (Trainer Variant) Cockpit Recording. Reduce Airspeed, Undercarriage Thump, Taxi On Rough Ground.

SPITFIRE MK IX TAXI & ENGINE OFF INTERIOR
Spitfire Mk IX (Trainer Variant) Cockpit Recording. Take Off & Climb To Level Flight.

I was surprised by the amount of "Hissing" the aircraft makes while taxying on the ground, I'm guessing it's each time the air brakes are used and then released.

I'm not sure if these could be used in AH, but they’re wonderful for comparing the current sounds I'm using (a pick and mix from all our great Custom Soundpack makers  :salute ).

Wow, never heard sounds like this.

The sound pack that I'm using is excellent. (from AKdogg 2010)
I'm a Spitfire fan.
Dogg, maybe you can answer this. Why aren't those realistic sound used in the game ?
Your Spitfire sounds are awesome but they sure don't sound like the ones listed above.

Any input anyone.
I would be ready to spend my own $$$ and insert them in my Spitfire file sound. Obviously not interfering with the game !

Well, like TB said, AH don't use Stereo sounds.  We can only do so much with 16bit mono sounds.  My spit sounds are more of the external sound.  If u listen to the external sound that they have, its close.  I didn't have any in cockpit sounds for spit.  I just got them close as possible.

What a load of crap.

$15 for a single sound? I have a problem with charging for recordings of historic aircraft, but this goes above and beyond ridiculous.

Oh man.  Those SR-71 sounds were too cool for words!  :O  :D
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.
