An increase in discos this time of year is pretty normal actually.  Run a Ping Plot to one of the game servers to see what is going on there.

Unplug the USB headset and try playing for a while.  See if it helps with the other issues.  I noticed you have the Nero suite install.  I used to like Nero.  Way back in the version 6 days it was the best.  It has since gone the route of Roxio and become a bloated computer strangling piece of work.

Wow!   Thanks for the quick reply.  I will see about disabling or uninstalling Nero.

As for the headset, it will be a bit difficult (that means no mic) but I will give it a try for a while.   :salute

Thanks.

found 2 network drivers that needed updating and have removed Nero.

I guess I will have to give it some time and see if the Discos decrease.  So far it appears to be improving.  Now, if I could figure out how to get Win7 working better. :salute

<S>,

about 3 days ago, i started to have many discos and today ah did not start and pc froze 8 times   :O   when i tried to play with ah. about discos, i think some sounds problems with some custom sounds. about pc reset i think it can related with joystick and usb driver or usb port that not work well too much  :old:. in particular, it reset when i installed cyborgX driver after st290 pro driver ( 2two poor joysticks as to me).  :joystick:  i had to remove and install again all the saitek driver  with the exception of st290 pro one to play again  :airplane:. unfortunately, discos come back. damned discos they all come back when i got my 2d kills.!

Any Apple software for the PC is that way.  I think it is how Apple gets even with PC buyers.  :)

Seriously though.  iPod, Quicktime are both pretty darn invasive.
