Full metal jacket rounds and steel are very much bad. AP round would have been a better choice for that dipstick.
Why do you think the cowboy action shooters use lead only?

What optics are we looking at on this rifle?

Seems like such a long range rifle would need some pretty serious optics.

I used to work at a Sportmans Warehouse, one day a guy walked in just looking for .45 ACP ammo...

Long story short he walked out with his .45 ammo, AND a .50 rifle (can't remember brand, but I think it was Armalite) and a Leupold 20x60 gold ring scope.

Total impulse buy, they had it set up on display on the gun counter because they didn't think they could sell it.  Guy walks in, see it, says "I want it" and walks out with it.  (after the mandatory paperwork of course)

He said he planned to use it for Elk hunting. :)

I would hope something like a NightForce or similar quality would be sitting on top of that.

Being a 50 Cal with a brake it will take some serious abuse!

I'm completely jealous.

I saw a barrett at the local range once, I thought somebody had brought tank.

Never be able to own one here in this <expletive deleted> state.

The only thing I've shot that came close was a 300 super mag, which was incredible. I even sat in the bench next to it while it was shot. - holy freakin cow - the pressure from the brake blew me away!

Congrats on gettin that beauty!

We had a brake knock a gun bag (30lbs) of bench two lanes away, they are loud!
