Unable to use Film Viewer

Can't load film viewer. Both before and after today's download, I get the window "Has encountered a problem and must close"   when trying to load a film... any film it seems. I have been able to use it in the past.   No recent hardware or software changes.

Have had the same issue with my new PC when it arrived back in December. It has Windows7 waited for this patch to see if it will fix it & still won't let me play any clips & no terrains at all blue sky every thing else white.
