Funny.... I think the same of people that get their jollies killing something for the heck of it.

Dont get me wrong, im a hunter, always have been, god willing always will be but i wont kill something if im not going to eat it.

And yes you can eat squirrel, and its very good.
I GENERALLY agree with you on that.HOWEVER, these guys are more than cute, they cause serious damage to property and are more than just a nuisance. Mine in particular have gotten into my attic, and took some time to get rid of and dissuade. Believe me, theres plenty to go around, i guess I could donate a few to the local food bank, but somehow I dont think they will accept it.

When we go RED DAWN and are forced to live in the forest while ambushing commie patrols, then I'll eat one. :rock

Ahh i see....makes sence. You left that part out and i read it as you were just killing them for the heck of it. My appologies.

Be careful with those little critters in the attic. I work as a property adjuster for a large insurance company, and approx 5yrs ago i had to go to a fire where 16 condos burned to the ground. Cause of loss you ask?  A squirrel got into the attic and chewed thru the Romex wires to a light fixture, one arc and that was all she wrote( Cause and Origin investigators report named this as the cause). The fire jumped from house to house due to the fact that all the roof were cedar shakes ( wood shingles )  16 familys lost everything because of one squirrel.

7.5 Million in damages.........crazy stuff

So doing damage to your property, yea i agree with you.

Never felt the need to torture an animal that was just trying to do its best to survive, but maybe that's just me.

You could try to move it further out on the limb.  We had this problem over at my mother's house.  It ended up being a matter of taking away each new way they found to get into the seed.  Took some time, but we got there.

They've got this ship down in Anarctica called the Sea Shepherd. Perhaps you could sign on with them for a bit, maybe take out a subscription to The Nation and Mother Jones...  :D
Some say revenge is a dish best served cold. I say it's usually best served hot, chunky, and foaming. Eventually, you will all die in my vengeance vomit firestorm.

The black squirrel is simply a variation of the eastern grey squirrel, the black phaze is more often found in the squirrels northern range but can be found wherever grey squirrels are.

Up here in Canada we have plenty of both kinds, most die over winter but with the milder winters we've had lately there's plenty around.I have several suicidal squirrels in and around my yard. They tempt fate running the fences that keep my dogs comfined.
