Post-War arena
« on: January 28, 2010, 01:23:16 PM »
hey guys, i was thinking, since HTC is making a WWI expansion for aces high, how bout a post-war arena as well? this would have all the planes and tanks that just missed out on WWII. for example:

Ha-1112 (Spanish version of the 109, had a Rolls Royce-Merlin engine)
Avia-199 (Israelli version of the 109)
F-5E (modified P-38)
Spitfire Mk. XXIV
F4U-5N
F7F Tigercat
F8F Bearcat
Hawker FB-11 Sea Fury
A-1 Skyraider
Wyvern S4
M26 Pershing tank

also, the F-80, F-86, and MiG-15 could be perk planes, as well as the (im gonna get pummeled for saying this) B-29. yes, i know that the B-29 saw considerable action in WWII and yes, its a freakin super-bomber, but against this plane set, and upgraded hangers and buildings, the B-29 might meet its match here

I'd rather them focus on widening out the WWII planeset they have now...plus you make it sound like RIGHT after...months after...the Mig was 2 years after and the F86 was four.

Ha-1112  -  1951
Avia S-199  -  1948

I agree with spikes. We need more planes that actually flew in WWII.

Not going to happen, too much stuff to do and not enough people to do it.   However, it would be fun to fly some of these later planes, some of which never really saw action.

I say yes to this great idea, but let's do it after every single vehicle and airframe that saw combat in squadron strength during World War II has been added to the game.

We could use the post war arena as the AH Chat room!  Maybe the occasional spy flight over the other countries and maybe the need for an airlift now and then!  All the AH GV fans could drive right up to the borders and look threatening at each other!

It would be the best arena for political discussions on 200!  They'd probably lead to another war then :aok
