X-52 Pro MFD and AH
« on: November 30, 2009, 02:07:01 PM »
Skuzzy,

Is there anyway to get the MFD on the X-52Pro to be linked to the ammo counters in AH?

That is a private interface for Saitek's use only.

err thats not right. saitek supply a well documented SDK and libraries with their drivers. the reason the MFD cant display AH info is because AH doesnt have a readble API supplying the data ...

The only SDK we are aware of is the one for the Pro Flight Instrument panel.

I just checked Saiteks site again and still do not find any SDK's for the sticks.  Just drivers.

If there is an SDK for the stick, and they have created it using the same approach as the Instrument panel, then we will not support it.

No wonder we never heard of it.  All the Saitek stuff we have around here and no one would ever load the drivers.

I doubt we will do anything with them.  The API for the Pro Instrument panel is just a mess.  I cannot imagine these being any better.  They probably require the drivers to be loaded as well.

Speaking of the Panel on the Throttle,  is there a way to fix the time clock?   It is showing 5 hours ahead of my own cpu clock showing in Eastern Time zone.   The date is correct,  not the clock :(

You need to use the software that came with the stick. Although, I've never been able to change the default clock, just the other two.

Got it.   Updated the clock within the software's control panel's MFD  tab.

Thanks!

Will HTC ever interface with some of the software/hardware available for simmers? Things like ammo counters, gauges, flap or trim tab indicators?

Give us some hardware with a decent software API and we will see what we can do.

We looked at the stuff from Saitek and while it would be neat to have that stuff, the API is just too kludgy.
