It's my fav plane in the game. It's so much fun to see the "better" planes foolishly think you won't be able to hang with them, only to smack them down. I usually up with 75% gas unless I have to go more than a sector, the I go with 100%. With full gas and drops it can stay up for quite a while. Keep it aboe 250 if you can, trade alt for airspeed when able and don't forget the flaps.
