I built it back in June of 2008.

I'm still using it, once in a while (about every 3-4 months) the throttles get out of sync and I need to recalibrate.

Got bit by the 109 bug. I got the 6stick quadrant to use trims and
keep my hands off the keyboard unless typing. Wow what a difference in airmanship it is.

{Snip} I got the 6stick quadrant to use trims {Snip}

Unlike other sims I've flown, I found analog trim to be extremely problematic in AH - instead of actually moving the trim surfaces, when you move the trim axis, it seems to "register" the final amount of trim you want, and then the trim actually moves to that amount at a rate that seems to equal that of how much it moves when you are holding down the trim keys.   Which makes it nearly impossible to make precise adjustments - you are constantly over and undershooting your desired state of trim, especially in aircraft that change equilibrium a lot with fluctuations in airspeed.

How do you deal with this issue?  Or has it been changed, in which case I'll dig out my throttle quadrant again?

First let me state I only use manual trim in a p-38. I use an X-52 and have one of the rotaries set as elevator trim. You have to turn it somewhat slow bot it does work fine.
