 :salute,and may he fly forever in his heavenly home.The trials and tribulations he had to go through to become a aviator were many.At a time when a black man was mostly given heavy,menial labor jobs,etc.,and had to use colored restrooms,this man proved that color wasn't a handicap when it came to flying an airplane.

First I've heard of this. What a shame. Was watching him just last night on a "Dogfights" DVD. Especially liked him worrying after the fight about what he was going to tell his Lead (Pruitt), after he wondered off to shoot down Germans. :)

Lee was a good stick and a real class act. :salute
