Nothing bad really.  It is going to be wet, but not cold enough for anything to freeze.  Maybe some sleet.  Temps will stay above freezing.  Just going to be cold, wet, and nasty.

we got 5" of rain today here in new braunfels, was below 40 degrees all day

It'll probably ice up tonight.  Hopefully it'll warm up fast tomorrow.
You and me both. I couldn't get my truck up the drive and it's stuck down by the gate. Hopefully it will melt off enough by noon that I can get it out and go to work.

Well, I am snow bound this morning.  No way am I trying to get out until some of this melts off.  Last night the Wife could not get her Lexus into the garage.  I had to go out and put planks down in order to coerce the car up the driveway and into the garage.

I opened the garage door this morning and there is about a foot of ice/snow on the driveway.  I walked on it and did not mash it down at all.  No footprints.  It is a solid sheet of ice.  Looks to be about 2 to 3 inches thick on top of the snow with about an inch of ice for a base.

It's going to be a while before this melts off.

Ouch.  I've seen a lot of crazy stuff but never something like that happening over night!

I have seen this before, but not to the extent it is right now.  Overnight temps fluctuated between 29 and 33F, all the while it was snowing.  Sort of like occasionally spritzing the snow with a little water.  Slowly, it builds a loose ice pack on top of the snow.  Gets thick enough it will support a lot of weight.

It is 30F right now and expected highs are 36F, with clouds hanging around all day.

Well, I got outside to the guage and we got 15.5 inches of snow in the last 24 hours.  It shows.  Cleared the DiSH antennae so we could see what was happening around the area.  Not pretty.

Now the knuckle heads at the weather are reporting we are in for frozen fog this evening.  I would much rather have snow.

That would be a great gig!  Let's see, what do I want to tell them today?  It does not matter as I am not going to be held accountable for it.  I know!  Today it is going to be gloppy with a chance of wingdings and then possibly, later on in the day, more blurps.  Have a nice day!

NOAA is the one to use. The weather shows are just that.... shows for entertainment.

My youngest Daughter is at A&M taking Meteorology right now. She will be looking at working for Shell, Exxon, or the like. That is where the money is for weather types.
