oh god. another cartoon made real people movie

if you know nicktoon's avatar, i literally just saw a commercial for a movie version made for adults... maybe cuz adults liked the show along with the kids? i admit, im 19 and i watched it... it was pretty good

Yeah it's actually made by M. Night Shyamalan and it wont be called Avatar due to the current movie with that title, it's just gonna be called "The last Airbender".  Never seen the show myself though.

hmm. if shyamalan's directing then it may be a good movie. theyd better keep a comedy side to it like they did in the series though.

I really enjoyed the cartoon with the kids.  We used to watch it every afternoon together.  I work late most days now though, so we don't get to watch it much anymore.  I am looking forward to the movie.  I don't think Shyamalan has done anything that I didnt like, not that I have actually seen anyways.  I am sure I have not seen everything he has done.

I didn't care for his last one with Marky Mark. It wasn't horrible but didn't do it for me. I guess I'm spoiled by Signs. Very few movie have ever gave me the heeby jeebies but aliens in a cornfield scare the toejam out of me.

We recorded the whole series a few months ago when they were running a weekend marathon and watched all 100 episodes or whatever.  Not bad TV.  Hope the movie doesn't suck.

I'm actually excited about this film. The preview at least shows they are following the cartoon series almost to the letter and the actors actually LOOK like the cartoon counterparts.

The preview shows many scenes, each one was absolutely identical to the landscape and events in the cartoon series, even the combat moves. Seems to me that Shyamalan dares not stray from the original or his daughter will have his balls for dinner. (interview with Shyamalan.. he said his daughter was a huge fan and pushed him to make the film)

That sounds halfway cool. Avatar was one of the only kids show's worth watching ( minus spongebob and his n00b self  )
