I like that Ki-43 but we know it's going to be a hangar queen but for scenario work. OTOH, thanks be to Addink for the KI-67. That was a good add (though I don't fly it). I had a "negative experience" with some of those. I figured they'd be like the G4M "Ronson Lighter" and charged in very carelessly - with predictable results.
I wonder how many people actually work on the plane addition process? It's got to be labor intensive. I was thinking about some of the tasks involved...
finding/resolving conflicting test data
sorting through model complexity
coding the flight model ( I wonder if they have a parametric type flight model to hasten this work)
preparing the graphics model
preparing surfaces/skins - including the cockpit/interior views
validating/debugging this instance of the model
flight testing the model
blar, blar, blar... I used to do a lot of ADAMS dynamics work and I appreciate the workload of dynamic models even as I acknowledge that their model isn't likely of similar function, especially given those input tables they use.
Meanwhile, I suspect staff if something like 10 people, given that the monthly revenue cannot be more than about $100k - unless I grossly underestimate the size of the subscriber base. All costs likely have to come out of that, unless they're also growth-funded somehow.
I'd really like to know a little more about the company. I think they really do nice work, all things considered.
