If you fly an f4u or f6-f it seems to be pretty much impossible to get the rear view to be as good with static hat switch views

I fly the F4U and F6F only lol.  And a squaddie told me that he can see everything with Track IR that he can with the hat switch.

Branch - looking dead 6 is challenging with TrackIR but doable. First always turn your head first and then lean. It needs a little training but offers 'almost' the same 6 view as adjusted hatswitch. One problem is that while turning and leaning you will mostly also move down - try to avoid downward movement and straighten up while looking behind you. It might look silly from outside and is quite a work out for a coach potato like me.

What helped me was increasing the sensibility of the lateral translation movement.

There was actually a check box in AH to do with track IR that made the 6 view work better, but corsairs and hellcats are still a problem. It was TRack IR absolute movement or something like that. And doing it in two distinct movements.

Object relative movment.

I play with it ON, some prefer it off.  One way is no better than the other, just different strokes for different folks.

Seems like you should be able to save a starting position with Track IR, just like you can without it. Why can't we have that? Instead of having to move around to set this new position each time, it should be defaulted to after you adjust it.

First, when im ready to take off, but next one is more difficult, because its so natural movement, that i dont remember it anymore  :uhoh When i need it, i used it :headscratch:
Different situation, different act.. :)
