I think you are referring to shooting at aircraft from a Wirbelwind, M16 or Ostwind.

Read this http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/ostwind/ostwind.htm on the AH Trainer Corps Website. It's about shooting in the Ostwind, but it works very similar for the Wirbelwind too.

Second thing: Practice it with another player in the Training Arena.
Up an WW at any base but A1, and ask your friend to fly a plane as a target for you. That's the best way to get a feel for it.

 To add to Lusche's great suggestions,when in the TA turn on the LCG.

 This is done by using crtl+tab to enable friendly lock,then use tab when your target is in sight.

 You will see the lead calculating gunsite project a set of crosshairs,put then in the piper and watch the hits land. This will assist you in getting an idea of just how much lead you really need.
