Proxies are great had 2 high spit 16s dive and attempt to pick me, I pulled straight up at the last second they pulled up hard and ripped their wings off. It was very funny especially cause one of them was a known spit flyer whos name rhymes with draggon.... :x

You could look at it this way you have been dog fighting with an enemy for a while but unable to get guns on each other & you pull a great move he can't match & crashes? You out flew him he crashed I would say you should get the kill.

How would you like it if you were about to kill a guy, so he bails instead and you receive no credit.  That's essentially what you are asking for.

i guess this matters the most if all you want is to see your name on the marque

I always thought proxies were given within icon range, but it seems to be less than 4k :headscratch:

Obviously.........someone does not understand the dynamics of the "butterfly effect" as it relates to online gaming.....

It might just be me and if so then this is just to get it off my chest.  In the game I have noticed that if you auger, crash, or run into the random tree and anyone is in proximity to you they get credited for the kill.  I have been in the process of taking off from an airfield and have received the message that I shot someone down.  Why am I getting credit for a kill when I'm worried about keeping my plane on the runway.  Now if you have seen my score you would say I would take what ever charity is thrown my way.  WRONG!  It just irks me when I have received no damage  and in some cases not even engaged with another aircraft yet they get credit for shooting me down.  My feeling on the subject is that if you don't put rounds on him then you should not get credit for a kill.  If you kill yourself then you kill yourself.

Perplexed.

or if he augers as a result of trying to evade you - or trying to attack you (classic compression overshoot scenario).

I say no.
Some say revenge is a dish best served cold. I say it's usually best served hot, chunky, and foaming. Eventually, you will all die in my vengeance vomit firestorm.
