Knights u ever heard of teamwork????
« on: July 11, 2001, 05:02:00 AM »
Today i jumped into AH and about 12 knights were on (noone i usually meet like santa, blitz, camo and a few more).

I started to work on 9, got all ack while hristo was caping the field. I constantly asked for 2 more guys, no response, even when ack was full down and vh out. I sent message after message, no response. I would have been even glad to hear a "no we are bz" but nothing.
So rooks i could build a defense and when odds turned three to 1 i had to leave 9 alone cause nothing was possible there.

Than i flew to 50, field completely down no vh, no ack, couple of ammo and fuel out. after i died, i jumped into lvt with troops.
Now we had about 4-5 guys around, but were they capable of ground 2 NIKIs that were uping there?? NO, i sent message about my eta on 50. And the funny thing is after 3 of those messages one knight really asked for a goon!!!! While i already was calling out for 4 mins that troops were otw.
Not to mention that the closer i got 50, the less knights fighters cap the field LOL.

It is funny how bad the communication among the knights is when a few hardcore knights are not on. Text buffer was sometimes even without any message (beside my calls for assitance) for 10-15 mins.

A: All countries are the same. Sometime you can work field all ready for capture, and no one will come to help. Other time you will get 20 people helping you. Just learn to take it as something usual -- only a fraction of people here fly for a strat, other for furball, comunication with other people, teamplay, scores, anoying other players etc.

B: Nits are terrible, switch to bishops! THey are soooo cooperative. And we are not the biggest country of all this tour, what a shame, we need all people back! More bishops! Easy captures! Easy kills  :D

I've born frustrating witness on several occasions to the Knights banging their heads against a heavily defended large base for two hours (or more)instead of grabbing several small and completely undefended bases.  Not necessarily a lack of teamwork, but certainly a lack of sound strategy.  Quite sad.

Did Marsellaise, Nowotny, Hartman need teamwork? No!!! So why should the Knights?   ;)

Last night defending A24, the knights responded admirably and saved a base from being captured by a 20+ plane rook attack.

Of course, at the same time, half the knits were hitting A4 unsuccessfully... for some 2 hours.

Yea, the attack at 4 went on for forever, and it was a huge waste of time IMO.  We lost 3 or 4 bases in that time, and only the actions of the AK's (especially Deja) saved 3 others.

On a different note, I'd like to congratulate the Bish for several nicely executed raids ( the city raid was a good one- that had me TOTALLY fooled, thought you were headed for the HQ), and the Rook for pulling themselves out of a large hole, to come out on top today (well, the most bases anyways).

Wish I coulda stayed to help out at 24/28 Deja. Around 9pm PT is my cutoff time on work days though.

Knitz took back 50, 52, and 53 with pretty good teamwork, the whole time 4 was being attempted.  Glad I got to help out with those before I left.   :)

12 knights on!? lol that means you signed on at like what 2am U.S. time? thats where most players live so you probably only found some straglers that were too tired to see straight or that had been playing for hours and could care less about base capture. with a total of ~36 people in the whole game you arent going to get a lot of support for base capture.

usually some small band from one country goes capturing just as some small band form the other country does too. its just tough to get anything going with that few people.

yesterday some guy kept taking a b17 up and and berating eveyone for not helping him beyond the usual requests for cover. it is best to have those things figured out ahead of time rather than jump up and try to guilt eveyone when it doesnt go your way. i dont think anyone fees that what they are doing is unimportant - just like how you feel what you are doing is super important. it isnt too tough to ask a few guys to join in an endeavor with you and then you know where your backup is coming from.

if you want to see teamwork you should have seen the knights take 57 and eventually 52 and win the war yesterday. even after it seems like 57 was lost, everyone came back with twice the gusto and grabbed it. it was a great sight against big odds. good luck.

Maybe it was the addition of the Damned or the rotation in of the AK’s or out of the MOL.  Whatever it has been I have seen just the opposite while I’ve been online.

Since the addition of the Mindanao and Baltic terrains I have actually seen more cooperation from the Knights.  Regularly it has seemed that an un-organized mass rolls from base to base without the use of the mission planner.

As for the 2-hour war that was fought with A4, believe it or not I think that was the end line of a huge push.  After the Baltic reset the Knights took 28, 24, 25, 22, and then 1.

I’ve been enjoying the game a lot more lately and it appears that the numbers in the MA have really balanced out.

<S> Knights!

Last night was fun!   :)  A squad would say "we're hitting Axx.  we need some fighters and goons" and fighters would show up and goons would go on standby (<S!> to AKWarp for his goon effort!).  There was good communication in channel 2 and good teamwork from multiple squads and independents.  It was impromptu as well.   :) Or someone would say "Axx is in trouble" and a good response would show up.  Just wish I coulda stayed longer.
