Discoes during Special Events

I've noticed that I rarely, if ever, get discoed from MA play, yet get discoed far more frequently in the Special Events Arena. It seems that it's an issue with that arena specifically, or just an issue with having many many other players within a small area of map (as is unique to Special Events).

Could someone with knowledge of AH's netcode explain why this may be the case? I'm running Windows Vista (ugh), and this has occured while using both using my wireless card, and while physically plugged in. I'm going to try turning off all AntiVirus next time. Any other suggestions?

Update...

Well, now I'm getting discoed left and right, even in the MA. So apparently it wasn't just the Special Events Arena. Hoping that an old fashioned computer restart fixes this.

Running an anti-virus program is asking for trouble.  If it is Norton or McAfee, you cannot disable them either, even though there is an option for it.

Vista is also going cause things to be unstable.  Microsoft really made a mess of the network stack in Vista.  One of the many problems with Vista.
