Hell, I'd be happy with a few lightning strikes outta that huge cloud embankment, especially at night!

You would ask that Nifty.  :)

I moved from Pensacola in 1974 in my sophomore year. I would have graduated from Escambia in 1977.

;)  you coulda just said "I moved before you were born!"  I was born Dec '74 in North Carolina.  We moved to P'Cola in '76.  My stepdad graduated from Escambia, back in '61 or so.  They were the Rebels back then, not sure when they changed to the Gators (which was it while you were there?)

And for the weather part...  Here's what I had to drive home in yesterday afternoon.  (well, actually, this was a bit west of where I was, I got lucky and only endured one cell shortly after leaving work.  Going along the interstate, I was clear.  Crossing the bay was awesome though!  I could see a huge cell to the north, and to the west and south I could see about 4 or 5 smaller cells.  I've never seen that many different columns of rain from a thunderstorm before!!!)

lol Nifty. Yep, we were rebels then. I think they changed it to gators in 75 or 76.

If I'm not mistaken, the pic that Eagler posted is one of the tornadoes we had last friday. It looks like the 2nd avenue pier in the pic anyway and that tornado looks awfully familiar, lol.

Ick.  Our storm yesterday spawned a couple of funnels reported by eyewitnesses, but the weather folks said they didn't see any on radar.  One of the funnels was spotted near my apartment actually.  about 2 mi NW.  didn't make landfall tho.
