Save settings...
« on: February 27, 2010, 06:37:16 PM »
Regarding F-10 save function- Zoom position should be allowed to be saved just like head position. I like one setting for driving in #1 position and a different zoom for #2 & #3. Aircraft auto climb .speed should be allowed as well. These would save a lot of time, distraction, and menial tasks, while, searching for a kill, taking off, or watching your 6.  :joystick:

use your button for forward view then zoom in and save.  before I got my trackir, I would have 2 button to look forward side, to make it easier to follow planes when in a turn, or for landing on a cv.  as for the autoclimb there's some macros you can set up with your stick.

you dont want me to ho, dont point your plane at me.

My problem with this is every time you change positions the zoom goes with you, ie: Zoom in to your normal position in the tank main gun #2 pos. get the zoom where you want it, switch back to #1 pos, have to change it. If it were a real tank you wouldn't be driving it by yourself, hence simplicity is a necessity.  :neener:

+1 good request. zoom settings saved per aircraft like head positions. likewise for pilot/gunner positions in bombers.

no, you got to remember that you flew a different plane last time you logged, then you got to zoom, then hold down the +/- buttons til its how you like it. probably a few times back and forth because it zooms really fast. just a few lines of coad, whats the downside?

It's NOT a major hassle to set it. That's not the point...but it's redundant as all heck, and difficult to zoom to exactly the same spot every time, & in every vehicle/aircraft, which would help with instinctive shooting on-the-fly. Your mind sees the same picture every time and learns without thinking about it what range the target is, simply by repetition.  :salute
