If an alien was stupid enough to land on a "bug" planet, it would be swarmed until there was only a slimy spot on the ground left.

Single one on one, hard to say, would depend on if the bug had access to the hive mind.

Alien would 'capture' and infect though growing into alien swarm and taking over planet.   :devil

Well the bugs weren't all that tough individually, they relied on numbers.  One on one, the xenomorph may get the bug with its tail, hard to say.   If the bug had full strength of numbers, that's no contest at all then.

Caldera, what you need is an ultra Robert Smith, he'll take care of the Mehcha Streisand and the Rosie.

Those bugs attacked like a banzai charge.  Took a hell of a lot of damage and still kept coming.
Compare that to the xenos getting mowed down by similar weapons.  Still, the acid would be the bug's undoing.

Well here's what I see:

Alien:
Attacks: Bite, slice with tail
Ability: If bitten, acid blood burns enemy

Bug:
Attacks: Stab with leg, bite
Ability: Take lots of hits

The Alien can hurt the bug, the bug can kill the alien.

On a one on one fight to the death, the Alien creature would win because it's ability to coil up into a fetal position allowing the exospinal armor protection and the collapsing of limbs and torso to repel any attacks.  From the fetal position the Arachnid would only be able to kick the Alien around like a soccer ball.  Once the Alien found itself underneath the Arachnid, the Alien would propel itself straight upwards and use the inner telescoping jaws to rip into the Arachnid's central body cavity.  The Arachnid would try to back away from the Alien allowing the Alien to use the tail as a cleaver through the Arachnid's multipile legs.

Once the Arachnid was totally defenseless, the Alien would drag it to the nest and let the face huggers impregnate the Arachnid.  Many hours later after gestation, a new breed of Alien hybrid would emerge.  The Octo-Alien.

As much as they are the toughest of science fiction killer creatures.  They still don't hold a candle when compared to the true Top Dog of this genre.  Spaceballs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Oh my, what's that crawling out of that nose?  Good lord, it's Spaceballs.  There goes the planet. (said in a british accent)

Never heard of the Alien curling up like that for defense, was it in the movies? And even if it could do that I think the bug could still spear it with it's sharp claws or even crush it with its massive jaws.

Well here's what I see:

Alien:
Attacks: Bite, slice with tail
Ability: If bitten, acid blood burns enemy

Bug:
Attacks: Stab with leg, bite
Ability: Take lots of hits

What if the alien gets on the bug and hacks away? The bug is massive compared to the Alien, and the Alien can use that to his advantage.

Or what about the fire spewing tank bugs?  I think that would own the hell out of the xenomorph.
