totaly forgot to say this  :lol

but would anyone be interested in doing this? would be great for scenarios, and lots of the 190 skins seem like they are old and are missing panel lines, fuel filler caps, and also the radio/ first aid doors on the fuselage. It would be fantastic if anyone could make this skin and It would be very appriciated  :salute

Most of the skinners like to see a photo as profiles are often wrong. Dig that up & may be one of them will bite.

If you can give me the unit it was designated to and date in service, I'd be happy to find something.

lots of models + other skins of this plane made, I will still find photo graphic evidence for you though, my book "fw 190 in North africa" will be here in a couple days, and I am sure it will have a few pictures of this plane :)

edit, I tried doing some google searching for images of the plane to no avail, any help would be greatly appriciated as it would be fantastic to have another North African skin for our 190A-5

update: still havent found any real pictures of this plane, I am 100% certain it existed due to it not being hard to find profiles for it or skins from other games, the real black and white pictures are evading me for a few more days untill my book gets here
update of the update: found an interesting piece of info from a modeling site about "Black Double Chevron" This plane was written off when its pilot, Oberleutnant Adolf Dickfield, hit an obstacle and somersaulted during takoff from Kairouan Airfield, Tunisia on January 8, 1943. of course Adolf was okay, as he finished the war with 136 total kills.

now for the really interesting bit I have found, all of the places that depict this planes profile, say that II/JG 2 was based at Kairouan Airfield, which later on in 1943 was used by american troop carrying units ( I assume the germans just abbandoned the airfield at some point while retreating) so now that has got me thinking if I can find some pictures of this airfield inbetween january 1942 and january 1943 I may find some pictures for they guys who make skins of the actual plane

This Focke plan was assigned to Hauptmann Adolf Dickfeld commanding officer of II./JG 2.The Camouflage pattern is RLM 74/75/76 with an overspray of RLM 79 which gives the plane a certain look..

I have recently found out that this is a skin made for IL2, either by or in colaberation with Andrew Arthy, the author of Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in North Africa, the leading resource on its subject

Skins in IL2, no matter how well made, are not a valid source when they are the ONLY source...

You know how many other "skins" in IL2 I tried to look into for Aces High? So many it's not worth keeping track of. Most of them don't have anything to base them off of.

EDIT: I mean that it's possible to use them as supporting evidence... but not the ONLY evidence, if you get my point?
