Couple of Aircraft
« on: April 11, 2010, 02:43:16 PM »
We have some early war planes that made the cut such as the Brewster and I-16, would it be possible to add the P-26? Fixed gear and very slow, but was a decent plane in it's time. I've also wondered about the P-36. It saw decent time in the war with France and wasn't finally retired until the mid fifties. It did have weak arament but I think it could possibly join the Brewster and I-16 as early war planes in the game.
Just to try my luck some more, the P-35 is a decent plane, it could carry a decent bombload and had arament very similar to the Brewster.

The Hawk 75 had heavier armament than the original P-36, just FYI.

I'm talking mostly about the original aircraft. The Hawk 75 and P-36 are essentially the same aircraft but with different arament, yes, but it could be possible in the game to have options like with the I-16, Brewster, etc.

This is what I mean about people asking for more American aircraft no matter how lacking the other sets are.  If we had all but five American aircraft and still had the gaping holes in the Russian and Japanese planesets, people would still be posting in here how much we needed this or that American aircraft.

We don't need the P-26.  There are huge holes in other planesets, missing core aircraft, that need to be added.

I agree whole-heartedly, the game needs more Japanese, Italian, Russian, etc, planes. Im just saying it would be nice to have them some day, sorry if I didn't specify that. I was hoping that seeing as how the P-36 was used mostly by the French in the war it would off-set the matter somewhat. These planes are not in any way necessary for the game but would at some point be fun to fly around in.

I also wonder if HTC is looking into the KI-44, J2M, KI-45, Yak-1 or MiG-3?
