with a 24" widescreen and backup battery $2,500. got a couple extra goodies (extra fan, temperature display and control, few other things) on it that brought up the price.

Looks good to me Whiteman. I have an MSI board in one of my machines and it works great. I have an abit board in the other and just love it. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore.

Looks good.  Nothing to flame.  I prefer to 2 separate HD's just to keep Winblows away from everything else, but then I'm a bit old-school.

Good chipset....have read alot about it, the cpu is easily overclocked and if you disable the hyperthread you will actually get better performance....runs cool too!!

Does windows 7 recognize 12 gigs of ram? I think vista 64bit had a limit of ram that was able to be recognized....... I just bought a laptop with 6 gigs with vista and it doesn't seem like I get the full effect.

Silent probably because it is 32 bit, not 64 bit.
