Where are the Aces High Screenshots?
« on: March 14, 2010, 12:14:49 PM »
How do you look at AH screenshots? some people have told me to look in the AH folder, but all i see is Aces high film viewer, Aces high (a shortcut to the game), and Getting started with Aces high.
Where might it be? :headscratch:

Thanks,

Pictures can be worth...a few words...anyways here:
Note this is Windows 7 and may look different depending on your Operating system

Step 1) Open My Computer

Step 2) See this and open C:

Step 3) See this and open 'HiTech Creations' 3b) If there is no folder named that, open 'Program files' and find it there

Step 4) See this and open the only folder there named 'Aces High'

Step 5) You should see this and the "ahss#"s are the ScreenShots

If for some reason there are no pictures there, try:

Open the Start Menu
Open Search (or for Vista/Windows 7 use the "search bar" in the start menu)
Type in Ahss0

you can also open your film viewer... click the film tab.....at the bottom of the box click the little arrow where you see film and click all files.

Mind you, if you can't see them in your folder maybe this won't work..who knows...give it a go

Your Aces High installation / folders should not be in the "Program Files"  sub directory.......

HTC has changed installation paths and done away with  "default installation to Program Files"........ it was causing to many problems withs Vista and Windows 7....

if your Aces High Installation is in fact in Program Files.....do a backup and save any settings\skins\etc.... you want to keep.....un install the game and re download/re install it again .........Aces High should now default install to the C:\ Root Directory......

example:
C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High\

make sure you install Aces High as the Administrator and once installed right click the AH Icon and make sure you have clicked on "Run as Administrator"........

hope this helps......

True the install directory by default is now outside Program Files, but there's always a very slim possability it is still in it....only reason I mentioned it. :D

Sometimes the easiest way to get to your AH directory is to right click the AH icon on your desktop. Select properties, select "find target" your AH folder will pop up, select cancel on the AH shortcut properties. Browse for your Screen shots.

No matter where you hid it, it will find it. As long as the shortcut works.
