The Unofficial Music Thread!
« on: March 19, 2010, 05:20:36 AM »
There's no better world than the one you go into when put your headphones on, turn on you favorite music, and just sit back and relax. Let's talk music here! The only think I don't want to see posted in here is anyone bashing any bands because you don't like their music. I have yet to see any guidelines on what music should and shouldn't be.

Something I'm looking forward to is Sabaton is releasing a new album "Coat of Arms" on May 21st! For anyone who doesn't know about them, they're a Swedish Metal Band that sings about war, and each song is dedicated to a certain battle that happened. Here's a little taste of what's going to be on that album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4JOld-FTdA

OOoooo I can't wait!  :x :rock

I like all types of music except rap.

If I'm in one of those relaxed moods, or I'm just sitting back and want something to listen to, I'll listen to this song and all the other songs by this band  :aok

In the spring and summer, when I'm riding around with the windows down and having a good time, I listen to this

If I'm in one of those moods where I need to get my adrenaline pumping, I can usually be found listening to my favorite band...

Looks about like my iTunes library!

I give you a big #S#.  Truck drivers are ranked in my top 5 of most respected people.  My grandfather owned a trucking company for nearly 20 years.

All kinds of music...classical music to rap (can't stand this new junk rap though) gotta love some acid rock from the late 60's - 70's and really like some of the stuff out today by Jack Johnson and Ben Harper. Kinda laid back but has some really good sounds in it.

I really enjoy music, I got the hi-fi bug a few years back and have been slowing building up the system since then.

A couple of the bands/artists I've mentioned in threads recently are

Alejandro Escovedo
Chuck Prophet
Jon Dee Graham
Joe Strummer and The Mescalero's

I dig a lot of the classic rock stuff out there too and some punk.
The Clash
The Rollingstones
The Kinks
David Bowie

I could probably keep on going,  I listen to a lot of stuff just recently I picked up a copy of The Three EP's by the Beta Band after watching the movie High Fidelity as well as the first Massive Attack album.

There's a ton of good music out there, and a lot of it is no where near the Top 40 charts. 3

Almost forgot, I also just got the latest Drive By Truckers album which is also great, if anyone here likes Skynrd or 38 Special they should check these guys out, some really fine southern rock.
