Withdrew form DA squad and booted from MA Squad
« on: March 18, 2010, 05:59:53 AM »
I withdrew from my Dueling Arena squad and it booted me from my Main Arena Squad with the same name.   :headscratch:

Here is the catch, I like being able to communicate with squadees on squad chat while not in the same arena.  I was testing this out with DA squad and AvA squad with the same name.  We are a new squad and like that members keep their MA squads and affiliations.  With a small group of people, gathering in the same arena for training, would be much simpler using squad chat between AvA (which is our home) and Training Arena or even Dueling Arena.

The Dueling Arena has no squads.  If you are part of an MA squad, then it will show that in the Dueling arena.

Thanks Skuzzy.  Now, maybe move this again to wishlist.  :D

Actually, this is correct area for my question....... As XO of a small AvA squad, will squad members tuned to squad text in the MA be able to see my squad text from another Arena?  More specifically, is there anyway to make an announcement to squad members across servers / Arenas / whatever divides them up?

(Note:  Once I withdrew from the "DA squad" - not knowing it was actually my MA squad - I was able to send and receive squad chat across the Training Arena = which is what I had hoped for but without withdrawing from my MA squad.)

I looked over the dot commands, and didn't see anything there, did I miss anything?

there is a "situation" to where if you , yourself, have created a squad in the Training Arena, then are also the CO/creator of a squad in the MA's or AvsA's....all who is in your TA squad will be able to communicate "Cross Arena" regardless if they are in a different squad...... all of those who are in your TA squad will be able to see your "RED Squad Text or SQUAD VOX CHANNEL, even though they are in another Arena and/or vice versa.....

for those who are in your MA Squad that you are CO of, but are not in the TA squad, will also be able to communicate via RED TEXT etc...

this fluke has been in Aces High for as long as I can remember, even back in Aces High I, it was there......

PLEASE NOTE: those in the TA squad are talking on "RED Squad Txt".......... those who are a member of your other MA arena Squad but are not a Member of your TA squad, can see what those are typing from the Training Arena Squad...... as long as YOU are the CO/Starter of BOTH squads.......

hope I explained that correctly.....
"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

Thanks TC  :aok

Yes, you did very well!!!  What is new maybe, the DA and MA arena roster crossover (per Skuzzy's response).  At first, while in the DA, no chat was received by my AvA squad mates.  As soon as I withdrew from the squad (while in Dueling Arena) I was able to send and receive chat with AvA squad mates.
