Skuzzy or somene
« on: March 13, 2010, 03:39:31 PM »
I have been getting a frame rate hit in WWI,after much teasting i find its the planes doing it.But WWII seems okay all and all ,as it always was.I was just accounting my bad frame rates to something more done with the planes that would hit the Fr's,but i hate to just assume that when there might be another issue going on.

So if there is something that may take more of a frame rate hit in WWI rather then WWII , then fine... i need a new PC for sure, but making sure it's nothing else.

I have no clue what info you like to have when people talk about frame rate stuff, hope this is right.

i am probably wrong as i know nothing much about specs and such but i think you need a card with more memory, 512mb i think it is, to get the best results. I have no clue what hypermemory or radeon express is though so don't take my word for it. good luck!
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

No doubt i need a better computer, but it dose handle WWII and not WWI,so i wonder if there is a reason i get the FR hit with the planes. But thank you for you comment.

The WW1 planes are far more complex than the WW2 planes.  They will require more of the video card.

No onboard video chip is going to perform very well.  However, there are things that can be done to help improve things, at the cost of eye candy.  Before going there, have you made all attemts to insure as few background processes as possible?

The top half of the DXDIAG output would be helpful as well.

Heck, on my work computer it has an NVidia 7600GT card and I disable "Detailed Terrain" which makes for nice smooth gameplay, even when surrounded by 20 or 30 planes.

Yea i have turned all settings on both my card and in game to better performance and less detail,i get great Fr's when not near any planes (in WWI), better Fr's then in late war for that  matter, but put me near 3 or more planes ,and i start getting bad lag.

I think the game is just evolving beyond what my poor little PC can Handel,if i had a job that would be my first big purchase, but i don't.
Hey! maybe you guys at HTC could have another contest thing like you did for the three monitor deal ,except make it a half decent PC. :D

But i do thank you for trying to help Skuzzy,i do enjoy this game and would hate to lose it.

Hey Skuzzy as a side note,i have found i have no problem flying around 3 or 4 planes, but the F.2B seems to mess up my frame rates, especially when fiering its rear gun (this is when I'm in another plane)
