It may not "just" be the trim tables...
I've been tooling around offline in the 47N while working on a skin and I've noticed it's a LOT more annoying than it used to be. I haven't flown online since the WW1 updates so this was my first experience with it.
First, when rolling takeoff, it had a HORRIBLE roll towards the left. This is without combat trim, and my manual trim levers (throttle quadrant ftw!) had to be jammed full over to correct me. Without full right trim, I was keeping my stick about 60% deflected to the right just to stay even. Loaded 8 guns light and 25% fuel, no ords.
I had a hard time with the elevator trim as well. I would have to really dial it back to get the nose up a bit and then after I hit about 175-200 I had to floor it down to stay level.
The funny thing is that on landing this roll force was greatly reduced.
I'm thinking some settings are out of whack regarding the torque and gyrational forces on the plane. These were implemented into the WW1 planes and somehow spilled over into WW2. I don't think it's "normal" because this is a 11,000 pound plane. It's not going to require 60% right stick deflection on takeoff just to stay stable.
Just a thought on another possible reason for the trim tabs: They're still right, but the forces acting on the planes are off instead?
