I've been hollering about the graphics level change advantage for years in game. never brought it to the BBS though. thank you redteck and +1 to fix this damned problem. it isnt just with this new graphics set either. the distance problem has been a deciding factor in GV battles for years

I understand some people have systems that won't let them max out their settings. I just don't see a need for an object count disparity. Thats why I just want the bushes removed. With them gone, the other objects could be made to stay on possibly.
I have no problem with that!  I was just mentioning that many of us don't do it to "cheat", but to be able to play....

Oh ok. My laptop that I used just happened to quit working about 2 weeks after the graphics update came out, prompting me to get a new system. I was a low-end user before that. Probably why I'm just learning about this trick.

*prays:  Please don't kill my what frame rates I still have.....

But at the same time disappearing trees and items, plus "hidden" things like that, are a serious issue.  I too would like to see the problem gone :)

Another example is when you in a pintle mount and looking around things are clear when sliding in right next to a tree.  But if you zoom, suddenly you can't see through the leaves/bushes anymore because you are too close.  Affects main gun too, giving someone that can aim at range without zooming a distinct advantage in see the other person.

Thinkpad T-60, GMA 945 graphics.  Same effect under either WinXP or Windows 7.

If a bush gets removed, maybe the tank behind it should be invisible too. That way no one suffers fps hits.
