Anyone know what that was about?

My take on it was that he killed one of them so they respected him for it and gave him the pistol as a trophy.

Guess they couldn't let him have one of their skulls as his trophy. A helmet woulda been nice though. Maybe some advanced weapons....

I think it was saying that they had been here hunting on the planet for a very long time, and that was a trophy from a very old hunt.

The Predator throws the pistol to Danny Glover and says "take it."  Then, walking away from Danny, you hear him mutter something else really low...."You'll need it."  There was supposed to be a Predator 3 where they came after Danny Glover, but they went another way.

I don't think so, I mean it's been a long time since I've seen it but I don't remember the Predators being able to talk.  Like I said earlier i think it was a sign of respect, giving him a trophy, and showing they had been on Earth a long time.
