Surely not *the* drex?

Hide the children!
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

I wonder how many license plates he's gonna have to make in prison to pay for all those cop car fenders.  Maybe he can pay off his debt early if he finds a rich prison boyfriend.

That reminds me of this guy I knew, who work as an inseminator (artificial insemination for sheep). He was once tempted top spend a day with a classy prostitude, and with grandeuse, in a hotel suete.
I always wonder how many sheep he'd need to...you know.....in order to pay the bill  :devil
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

3 things most people should know:

1. You can't out-run radio waves.
2. Unless you are in a supercar the car you are in isn't faster flat out than a cop car.
3. Being chased by a bear is not as bad as an angry cop when it's all said and done.

i would beg to differ.  :aok

1: True
3: True

2: Erm, depends on the car. ;) Around here, we have Crown Vics for the most part around here which, if you're really going all out, no, you don't need a "super car."

                                                        Crown Victoria (Police Interceptor)

Engine : V8, SOHC, front engine RWD
Displacement : 4,600 cc
Valve : 16 valves, 2 valves per cylinder
Transmission : 4-spd automatic
Fuel economy : city - 16 mpg
                             highway - 22 mpg

Horsepower : 235 hp @ 4750 rpm
Torque : 275 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm
0-60 mph : 8.7 sec.

Curb Weight : 4020 lbs
Overall length : 212.0 in.
Wheelbase : 114.7 in.
Overall Width : 78.2 in.
Height : 56.8 in.

Good driving, but, he was knee-deep before he began running...

if they use the same computer program as the civvies, then i believe they're governed to 120mph also.

Either the owner's or the state's insurance.

If some car thief steals my car and then goes off endangering others, I hope the cops wreck him so bad that the perp dies horribly, squished like a bug in the tangled wreckage of what used to be my favorite hoopty.  The hassle of an insurance claim and buying a new car is worth the feel-good knowledge that there is more oxygen for me and my family after the car thief's death.

A new 2010 camaro with v6 will do better than 145 mph. The V8s quite a bit faster.

I know for a fact that my 2000 Crown Vic will own our 2009 Chargers on a road course, but straighten that road out... the Charger eats mine up every time.

nj state troopers are using chargers unmarked. they still have the crown vics, and also some dodge suv's

the town i live in has a couple of crown vics, and a few fwd impalas, as does the town my shop is in.

i'd always heard that the crown vics tended to get "floaty" near 100?>

Mine being one of the oldest ones in the department, it does get a little testy as you approach 100, the chargers seem to love going upwards of 100.  The impalas aren't worth the equipment bolted on them.

The Sheriffs around here have the dark blue 'secret squirrel' Chargers and I've even seen a Dodge Magnum that was slicked out and was running down a speeder on I35.

if ya wanna get away, and are dumb enough to run in the first place.....you simply need to make em lose sight....even if only for a few seconds.....just long enough for you to make a turn........once you've turned off the road they're chasin ya on, you need to make another turn before they catch sight of ya again.
usually in 2 to 4 turns, you've gotten away........but then again, that was nearly 20 years ago.
