Seriously though, the late-war emphasis tendency on HTC has been going on for quite some time now. 262 is a definately pleasing experience, but I wouldn't have shed any tears if we hadn't seen it  . Same with the Arado 234 and Ta-152. At this rate, Aces High might become "AH: The Secret Weapons of the WWII" (joke - nyuk nyuk).

What it is missing is the planes of the early war period, and these planes are as much(and in occasions, even more) fabled and inspiring(?) as some of the late war beauties we have currently in AH. Spitfire MkI, Hurricane MkI, Bf-109E-7.. A6M2-Zeros, Daichi Vals, Wildcats etc etc.. Though inferior in many aspects, meeting a Spit I while flying a 109E might bring more pleasure to many pilots rather than meeting a Spit XIV  in a 109G-10  :).

I do hope HTC would take time and fine tune what they have done for few future versions coming ahead..

taking time to remodel textures and details of cockpits in the planes that were introduced earlier... correcting few artistical features(such as correctly modelling the shape of flaps in the N1K2 or maybe 109G series).. maybe consider putting in each plane's unique cockpits and instruments rather than stick with the 'generic' ones we have.. etc etc...

rather than keep on adding more and more high performance late war planes which rarely saw service.

  :)

Funked, u r missing my point.  I don't mean the total number of planes.  I mean the types of planes: heavy bomber, medium bomber, fast bomber, attack platform, fighter, heavy fighter, goon, anti tank platform.  The british has nearly every category filled.  Same with the Americans.  And when I say this, I am not restricting new plane additions to the LW.  I am covering every country that is in dire need of a new plane of several particular categories.

I would love to see early war planes added, however it would be a waste of manpower and resources to do so without a rolling perk set/rolling plane set.

Ding is correct, the British do have nearly every category filled.  Only a carrier strike aircraft, medium bomber and vehicles are missing.

I do think that there are important versions of British aircraft missing, but I think that other planes would be better added first.

The US has the best rounded planeset and only needs important and interesting aircraft added.  The US needs more vehicles too.

Germany could use a heavy fighter/strike aircraft and a more potent bomber, say, a Ju188 or He177. More German vehicles would be nice as well.

Russia is actually getting close to being rounded out. All that is needed is a bomber and if we can get the info HTC needs for the Tu-2 (interior shots I think) they will have a fully usable planeset. Then it will simply be adding important aircraft that do the same things that existing Russian aircraft do and adding vehicles.

Japan needs a huge bevy of units, too many to list.  They are by far the worst off of the big five participants.

Italy needs the S.M.79-II, all other things would be a luxury for them.

I'm sure that all of this will be coming at some time in the future.

HiTech did say that they wanted to work more on the early war stuff in the next year.

Actualy Karnak the Ki 102 would do well as an anti tank platform, it was intended as a ground atack platform it's 57mm cannon would make short work of GV's to be shure.

Yes, the 57mm cannon on the Ki-102 should be able to take out all the halftracks and open topped vehicles with HE rounds but does it have good enough penetration ability to effectively deal with tanks? Was there even an option for AP rounds?

Pistols can kill out Panzers, I don't think a 57mm round would have much trouble.

I'd like to see a 109E (I'd also like to see a 109 K, but I've been told it will never be introduced), a bf110/me410.  I also want a P40, a F4F, an early war zero, and some Japanese bombers.
