I like pulling that joke on people, but I honestly wasn't sure what it was either and wouldn't have thought about putting the & in there.  Of course you could just http://lmgtfy.com/?q=QA.

As stated before make sure your bombs are selected or else when you calibrate the bomb site will default to straight forward.

HiTech should hire you as a QA tester.  It seems that each time you die,  you seem to find some glitch in the game that caused you to die.  Before it was raising your landing gear in a Tempest that caused you to die and now it's the auto-take off.

ack-ack

There is a glitch in the AR234 auto take-off whereby if you don't hit the RATOs at the exact right speed (about 100 mph) you get a big nose bounce on lift-off.  Mine bounced so bad once it slammed back into the runway wrecking the plane but I was still able to get a safe landing.

I still use auto take-off in the AR234 but I'm careful what speed I hit the RATOs.

The speeds have to match exactly. True speed and Calibrated. I try to think of it as if it's 1 mph off, it'll be 10 feet off...makes me calibrate better.

Correct in that unlike prop bombers calibrated speed and alt need to exactly match E6B reported speed and alt.

Dropping a bomb from 10,000 feet with a terminal velocity of 800'/sec (taken from a NASA bomb trajectory report as a real world example) = about 15.5 seconds to reach the ground (approximately) accounting for vertical acceleration (55'/sec/sec) and misses the target by about 23 feet with a 1 mph speed calibration error.

Well then it must be the game, because all these combined years of Aces High flying telling you it's very possible don't know what they're talking about.

It's the kid's habitual response to anyone that has tried to give him some help with things he's having troubles with.  No matter how we explain it and how to correct it, he insists on claiming he did everthing 100% perfectly and the game screwed up.

Yes, but I couldn't bring myself to be too mean.  Told him what he should do, if he keeps complaining, then I feel justified in flaming.
