Considering this weapon...
« on: October 13, 2000, 09:54:00 AM »
Several years ago, when I played Pacific Strike, I'd a special ammo option.

the NAPALM !!!

reasonable enough for there being no Torpedos  and depth-charges in AH 'cos there is no SEA BATTLE yet...

But as to napalm, it can severely damage light armored vehicles, buildings and personals(ACKs will be down too) ...

Why not?
But I dont seem to have seen anyone request it?...

Many would like this added, do a search under "Napalm" and you'll see the many threads asking for it from the last 12 months.

So what are HTC waitting for?

And I've read that IL-2M3 can carry some very special weapons...

Like cluster bombs, even 88 downward ppsh machineguns ...
However I dont mind if HTC model this or not...  there is no infantry in AH yet...

HTC is focusing on flight sim first, which is good for the majority that are here, the ground units are secondary.

Here's the URL for WW2 online:

Para-frags and skip-bombs would be cool too.

However, there are many other cool things that HTC needs to get time to work on.  I trust them to have their priorities in order.

imag,
Napalm will destroy any WWII vehicle smaller than a destroyer, not just light ones.  They weren't sealed and all of the oxogen would be sucked out of them, killing the crew if the heat doesn't simply cause the vehicle to explode.

My friend who served in M1A1s said that napalm would destroy one of those (an M1A1), despite the fact that its sealed for biological and nuclear warfare, by simply cooking the crew inside of it.

Before we get too excited about napalm destructing abilities just keep in mind that napalm is not a miracle weapon but simply petrol with additives to make it jelly-like and, as a result, stick to any surface it touches. (The additives do not increase burning temperature or allow it to burn under water - it's still just petrol)

Any way ... I'm not sure WHICH is implemented
first?

A2G rocket or Napalm?
