Dornier Do 335 Pfeil?
« on: October 14, 2000, 12:21:00 AM »
What are the chances of ever gettin to fly this in Aces high?
It certainly fits into the "what if.." or fantasy planeset.  One of the kewlest looking planes ever designed IMO +)

Probably real tough to find data I'd imagine

How big was the undercarriage on the Pfeil?  I guess touchdowns would have to be perfect or you'd end up getting prop strikes!!

Nice plane though!

hmm... I'll revive my thread in which I posted many pics of the Do 335.

The Do 335 landing gear struts were about '6 from the ground to the wing.

Also, if you look at the tail, the lower ventral tail was there to alleviate any prop strike problems for the rear prop.

I don't think the ventral thing would make any difference to prop strikes when those 6' struts collapse   .

Take F86 over this daft looking thing anytime   .

A small add-on to CFS and works fine in CFS2 as you can see

and

And now I'll try to add Me-264 to CFS2

Yep, thanks for the pics, I remember what one looks like now, I could only remember it having 2 props and I can see how it wouldn't get a rear prop strike though you could still cause some damage to the a/c.

Nice plane
