off topic iPhone question
« on: April 04, 2010, 08:52:34 AM »
I have the older version 8 GB iPhone. 95% of my usage is via Edge and 4 bars from ATT. For some time now, my WI-FI is super slow. Web pages load a lot faster by way of the ATT cell signal vs. in house WI-FI. It didn't always act this way. Could this be due to one of the iPhone software updates? Should I reset the phone? Any other suggestions?

Thanks :aok

That's a tough one to answer, except that I'd say - back the phone up, reset and reload it, and if it doesn't help simply restore it back to current state.

Also make sure you do as much of a "sync" as you can with whatever you have for PC software, as a "second" way to back it up.  Just be aware that a significant amount of stuff doesn't actually sync real well, so you WILL lose some stuff (like texts, etc.) if you have to rely on that. Which is actually what Apple recommends, by the way if you have a problem you are uncertain of, they tell you to sync to PC, reload and then sync again to "restore".
