why would anyone even spend that money on an ipad?

I was asking my self the same question too, CAP1.  i showed my wife this and she almost cried.  She wants one when she starts her PA degree. 
We had a talk about her getting a I-PAD.  I told her i wanted a better computer and/or joystick, but the I-PAD has a lot of applications for medical field.

Yea I'm with you guys.  If you want a laptop, get a laptop.  If you want a mobile device capable of many functions, get a nice phone.  The I-pad falls somewhere between the two, and is at least in my mind entirely useless.  I think blending it is about the most functionality you can get out of one.

That is one tuff blender but if I run over it in my truck it will look like that pad ....

I prefer "Is It A Good Idea to Microwave This?" It's more about the fire, explosions, and lunacy of the hosts than some stuffy guy monotonously grinding stuff in a blender.
