Skin viewer controls help
« on: April 06, 2010, 11:39:08 PM »
I'm trying to learn the skin viewer controls so I can make composite images with the AH planes. I like how you can manually move the ailerons, rudder, flaps, gear, etc.

Is there a manual for the skin viewer?

So far I know:
1.)Shift- Zoom in and out
2.)Ctrl- Move in and out, move left/right

So, I know how to move in/out and left/right, but is there a way to move the camera up/down(not rotating the plane itself)?

Also, if anyone knows any other controls, can you also post them here?

the skin viewer is just that, a skin viewer. For some of those dynamic screen shots you see most people use the FILM viewer to find a picture and set up the angles there seeing you can do much more with it in the film viewer, going full screen and then doing a print screen to save it or use FRAPS or a similar program to capture the image.

Thanks, for the reply.
I like using the skin viewer because I can set up certain things more easily than the film viewer. For example, the sliders to the right that allow you to move the ailerons, flaps, landing gear, etc. manually and not have to wait and take forever to find the proper angles in the film viewer. Also, not sure if they fixed it or not, custom skins don't work in the film viewer last time I checked, only the default show.

EDIT: You can also change the lighting and the plain blue backround makes it easier to cut out the plane
