cant open AH

i just downloaded the new patch and at the end it said that some task could not download because it was invalid. sadly i did not write it down. when i tried to open AH, i got this message.

ERROR:
Initialization failed with a -9
main WLD_Failed-1

 any idea what i need to do?

Redownload the base and install it over the top of your current installation.  I can't say what went wrong without knowing what error occurred on the download, but it sounds like you only got partially updated.

i tried ti reinstall it again and had the same problem. wrote down the message this time.

C:PROGRA~1\HTC\ACESHI~1\stdshape.res
is not a valid previous version and could not be upgraded

You need to install the base download, not the patch.  No need to uninstall anything first.

are you using Windows XP?  Rhah?

or are you using Vista or Windows 7?

if you are using 1 of the latter 2 ( Vista / Win 7 ) you will experience problems...... your Aces High installation should be in the C:\ root directory.....

not in C:\program files\

Aces High now default installs to the C:\hitech creations\aces high\     folder path........

this is possibly your problem
