I'm still trying to understand how shortening the icon range will create more thrill. Afterall, you still have radar to see where friendly and cons are.

If you want to shut down enemy icons, that option is available already.

Shorter icon ranges means they get more picks/ambush kills, less fights.  They don't like fighting, they just want kills.

Actually it's been my experiance in the AVA the fights have improved. With no enemy icons and limited friendly icons you have to get close and ID each other.
With the lack of a distance counter as you have with enemy icons people are doing more flying with less tater tossing and 50 cal lazer blasting. You're forced to get in closer and manuver to ensure your gun solution. Yeah there are bounces to be sure but the actual fighting in there is better than it's been in a while.
