I have noticed the same thing, I think some under the table deal has been done or something of the likes. I remember you could get text banned in WB for even mentioning AHII while playing. Its also frustrating me not being able to reach out to the Australian players who are going to log on and find 3 people online in Australian prime time. Its like someone purposely wants to keep AHII out of the spotlight except for a smear campaign.  :frown:

Well Admiral's post didn't get removed and thanks to Ghost I think the message is clear that we are all prepared to lend a hand.  Maybe I didn't go about it the right way but hell I can't post from my own account because it was still locked down from ages ago!  .

Luckily I still have enough old friends to get the message across.

Also the owner Mark Vange seems pretty open about discussing other alternatives away from Warbirds.  Apart from all the WB's adverts now plastered over the website.

Personally I prefer setting up each button manually so you can work out what button does what.   If anyone flies with CH stick / pedals / rudders I can send them my profile.

To make things easier you could spend some time in the keyboard mapper and change all of the default keys to do the same things as they did in FA.  Like Ctrl + W for WEP or  B for brakes,  G for gears,  D/ F for flaps etc.

Hey m8 I could use that profile.  :)

You have a combat stick or fighterstick?  I have a pretty good template for the combat stick, pro throttle combo if you want to use one as a reference to make your own or to use.

Do most pilots in AH use track ir?  It really wasnt supported in FA (at least as far as I knew), so I've never used it.

I wouldn't say most, but there definitely are pilots that use it.

Quite a few pilots do use Track IR,  I have played around with a squaddies setup and I have to say that it is immersive but I never felt comfortable with the thing on my head and keeping my neck still.

Even watching him fly he seems to concentrate far too much on looking at the cons rather than using his dam throttles and pedals to get on the Bad guys six!!  (u know who you are  :P)

For 1 vs 1 's I see it working well but in multi-con engagements I would prefer the instant Hat views.

I do. AH supports it.

I can't fly without it anymore. Would rather give up my pedals than my TIR. ;)

I've tried Track IR several times... I owned a 2, a 3 and now a Track IR 4. I simply cannot get comfortable using my head instead of the ease of hat switches, which I've used since 1993.

I'm waiting for true VR headsets to be viable with a large enough resolution.

Yeah thats gonna be sweet, it'll be like actually being in the cockpit, I just hope when a good one comes out that it's not some ungodly price.

It's supported 100% in AH2, make sure your "Track IR views" box is checked in your settings.

AH2's view system is so good that I feel Track IR doesn't really give you as much of an advantage which you get in other games.
