Gun Score
« on: April 20, 2010, 08:14:33 AM »
Everything in this game gives perks except for the guns on the ships and the soft ack, yet if your in a gun position on a bomber you get perks, same with a PT, but if you kill a CV with the 8's you don't even get damage rating, much less perks. Bomb the CV, get damage and perks, bomb a town or strats get damage and perks, kill town with 8's or 5's, nothing. Kill bombers/fighters get your name up on the ticker, but no points.

Taking down town should result in Vehicle Points no matter if it is a 5", 8", or if your in a wirb, osti, tank.
Bomber/fighter being shot down should result in Vehicle Points also no matter which gun is used on the boats.
Sinking a CV, Heavy Cruiser, or Destroyer should also result in Vehicle Points for each ship sank, and should also get ticker credit for shooting them down and/or damage credit, I got 3 boats, CV,Cruiser,Destroyer, the other day, shouldn't that count for at least something?

Just my opinion. :salute

Let me qualify my following statement:  I use manned guns alot.

With that said, there is no risk of death involved therefore no reward.  If this was changed then I would be all for this idea.

Yes and no, if you are gunning in a aircraft, you get perks, yet there is no risk of death those either.

Are you sure?  I really do not know much about this.  I know I don't get perks when I am gunning for someone, perhaps when you are operating your own guns in a bomber?  In that case, you are very much at risk of virtual death.

I like the idea of getting points when you are in a gun.  :aok  :aok Now what type of points should you get? The most obvious being vehicle. Now what if there was a new point accumulator for gunship/feild gunner.

Well last time I bombed a CV with B24's I got 9.87 perks for it, seeing that it takes way more hits from the 8" guns you should at least get half or the same amount even, planes would work the same way as any other ratio a 10 eny plane kills a 20 not much, but a 10 kills a 5 decent perks. I wouldn't  put the guns, 5", any higher than a 10 eny rating as some guys are absolutely deadly in them, but for the 8's hitting town and other ships 10 to 15 eny. IMO
