Some of the newer stuff is decent but most of it is dreck.  It can be attributed to the crusaders who have tried to suck the fun out of everything.  You look at most of the cartoons from the eighties and you will see that most of them are just "terribly violent."  I don't know how I turned out mostly normal what with me watching them and the 3 stooges.  Course that could be that my parents took the time to explain that what happened on tv in the cartoons, 3 stooges, and wrestling would either have me end up seriously injured or dead.  Didn't keep me from trying some of it mind you.
